Excellence in Teaching

2021

I am especially honored to have received the Exzellente Lehre (Excellence in Teaching) prize, because students give the nominations for this prize directly. The recognition was particularly meaningful as it came in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when students were struggling. I am grateful that my teaching could matter to them in such a challenging period.

Researcher of the Month

January 2020

I was honored to be named Researcher of the Month at WU, a recognition that highlights one scholar each month for their groundbreaking research. As part of the award, I was featured in a video in which I explain the research that was awarded. (This research has since been published in the journal Labour Economics.

Austrian Central Bank and Austrian Chamber of Labor

2018

I received the Käthe Leichter Prize, awarded as part of the Austrian Women’s Prize (Österreichischer Frauenpreis). The prize honors significant contributions in the fields of women’s and gender studies, as well as achievements in advancing equality in the world of work.

Innovative Teaching Award

This award recognizes my use of creative and innovative methods in teaching. The award highlighted my commitment to making learning both engaging and impactful for students.

The prize honors contributions that, in the spirit of Austrian economist Kurt Rothschild, connect economic research with a strong social perspective and public relevance.
